Merry Migration Day and a Happy New Year

We've got an opportunity for you to speak live with migration experts, watch best practices webcasts, visit with partners and win prizes -- without leaving the office.

The good folks at Dell/Quest are inviting you to attend ZeroIMPACT Migration Day on Dec.6, 2012, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. ET.  You can register by clicking here.

The invitation says “you will have the opportunity to speak live with migration experts to ensure a successful ZeroIMPACT migration. Take this opportunity to watch best practices webcasts in the Auditorium, visit partner booths and win prizes in the Exhibit Hall, and chat with the migration experts in the Communication Lounge.”

All this from the comfort of your own office.  They’re using the same ON24 system we use here in the Zone for our webinars, so you’ll definitely enjoy the experience.

In his Nov. 27 blog post on the Quest Executive Blog, Bill Evans, a Vice President and General Manager from Quest, talks about how they have been engaged in a “blizzard of marketing” around ZeroIMPACT migrations since 2001. As they learned more they came to realize that customers needed expert services as the foundation of the project to mitigate risk. Also, customers often needed new hardware for the new environment.

Evans expresses confidence that now that Dell has acquired Quest, bringing new and greater resources, his team can now get customers “even closer to a ZeroIMPACT Migration.”  He describes the new advantages the Dell/Quest combination can bring:

    1.     Software to perform the migration, regardless if you are moving to an on-premises environment, to the cloud or deploying in a hybrid mode

    2.     Hardware to support the new MS platform (which may be part of a converged infrastructure project, for example),

    3.     A sizable services team to scope out and assist with the migration project

…all to ensure your project is completed on time, on budget with minimal disruption to your business – and that has always been the essence of a truly ZeroIMPACT migration.

The best way to learn more about ZeroIMPACT Migrations, and the Dell/Quest solution to achieve them, is to attend Migration Day… and to all a good night.
