Virtualization.pngIn recent months we've talked a lot about Virtual Desktop Integration, or VDI, which Microsoft continues to champion as an ideal for solution for enterprises looking to migrate to Windows 7. In a nutshell, VDI allows end users to access full-featured desktops that are hosted in your data center, not on local PCs. That would allow, say, users of new Windows 7 laptops to tap an XP environment when they need to run an app that's not yet 7-compatible. A Google search will steer you toward plenty of VDI-related information, but why go to all that trouble when 4sysops' Michael Pietroforte has rounded a giant batch of virtualization resources? Spanning six sections, Pietroforte's collection includes not only Microsoft desktop virtualization and VDI, but also VDI licensing, RemoteFX, Hyper-V Dynamic Memory, and videos (including one on the Desktop Virtualization Hour we covered a couple months back). For anyone even the least bit interested in virtualization, I'd call this a must-bookmark. Very handy stuff. Follow ITMigrationZone on Twitter Facebook friend badge.png
