No self-respecting IT pro reaches for the mouse unless it's absolutely necessary. Truly tech-savvy users rely on keyboard shortcuts, which can save considerable time over the course of a workday. You probably mastered every Windows shortcut years ago, but Windows 7 brings some new ones to the table. Here's our roundup of seven Windows 7 keyboard shortcuts you'll want to start practicing now:
    1. Win + Home: Minimize all windows except the one that's currently active. Hit it again to restore the windows.
    2. Win + Space: Makes all windows transparent so you can see through to the desktop.
    3. Win + Left/Right Arrow: Docks the active window to the left or ride side of the screen.
    4. Win + Up Arrow: Maximizes the active window.
    5. Win + (+/-): Enables the magnifier and zooms in/out.
    6. Win + P: Opens Windows' presentation settings so you can quickly adjust display settings to include a second monitor or a projector.
    7. Ctrl + Shift + N: Instantly creates a new folder on the desktop or in an Explorer window.
Again, these shortcuts are for Windows 7 only, so you'll need the Release Candidate if you want to take them for a test-drive (make that test-tap). Follow Simplify PC Solutions on Twitter!
