Everything old is new again. Way back in October, we told you about "Introducing Windows Server 2008 R2," a free Microsoft Press e-book for IT pros.
All of a sudden, the book is making the round again, with posts devoted to it at 4sysops. (Hey, guys! This was news nine months ago!)
Given that we weren't doing a ton of Windows Server coverage back in 2009, and that many of you might have missed the post the first time around, I thought I'd go ahead and repeat this very worthwhile offer.
"Introducing Windows Server 2008 R2" cover topics like what's new in this version of the OS, installation and configuration, Hyper-V, and Active Directory. It was written by industry experts Charlie Russell and Craig Zacker, along with members of Microsoft's Windows Server Team.
The download is available in both PDF and XPS formats. The only requirement is to sign in with a Windows Live ID. Definitely worth getting if you have any involvement whatsoever with R2 deployment and/or administration.
